I'm going to have to agree here, but for a different reason. The Super CPU will do great things for GEOS, applications, and other processor intensive programs that need it. However, since many of the games, word processors, and other pieces of software we use will either not be affected, or be poorly affected by the advance, it's use will certainlty have a limit. As for the new machine... nah. If I thought 133Mhz, pixels the size of atoms (and therefore graphic files the size of china), and 45 katrillion bytes of memory would improve my computing pleasures, I wouldn't be here. :) > > CMD seems to be the only company at present that could possibly deliver > what we would expect. I don't know if it's related to the margins, but it's worth taking a look and experimenting. Cheers, Yep Gaelyne, first thing did was set no margins left or right. Cleared tabe and set it as the default in the editor, just to avoid any possible confliction there. Funny thing is if I use the "grab" function just to grab stuff from trmnl screen into the buffer, it grabs it okay and does not double space anything, but it also grabs the "cmd line" so that has to be all edited out. I also set WordWrap to on but that shudnt hurt anything. I will try with the WW off although that functions nicely and never prints any short one or 2 word lines. I am beginning to wonder if maybe something in my "home directory" on the server may have something to do with this. ***** kilroy ***** #! rnews 1647 Path: pravda.aa.msen.com!spool.mu.edu!howland.reston.ans.net!swrinde!news-res. gsl.net!news.gsl.net!news.mathworks.com!op.net!hunter.premier.net!news.cais.net! van-bc!unixg.ubc.ca!rover.ucs.ualberta.ca!news.ucalgary.ca!srv1.freenet. calgary.ab.ca!pdporth From: Phil Porth Newsgroups: comp.sys.cbm Subject: Re: Dialogue bug?? Please see my response to the original poster. I think the problem itself is with PINE. but I haven't yet found the fix for it in the personal config/setup options. It might be something that is configured system wide. Kind of like the problems some shell users are having with downloads of binary files. Some Lynx users are fine while others (like me) had never been able to download binary files until I managed to ask the right questions of the right person, and then browbeat my provider into telling me how to set up my own mime.types file.
