    The only term I know of is CGterm for the C128 (which runs with Ramdos ),
but that is second hand as I'm not a c128 user.  For c64 users, I'm unaware of
any support for the REU at this time.  It's a nice option, so one will turn up
eventually.

Well, since Ted has brought up the C-128, one term that does support the REU
family is UltraTerm 3.0  A real nice package.  I have been using it with a
1764 plugged into the C-128, and as long as you remember that you have only
256K, your fine!  <Sorry, but I gave up looking for a 1750). Ultra Term is a
commercial product.  You might be able to ask the author Steve Boerner (GEnei
address S.BOERNER) more about this 128 term. Gee, R.Smith, I hope ya got a
128!

Bill, A few more terms that use the #1764, and/or #1750 on the 128 are the
Term that comes with Chris Smeets' DOS.  It also does ANSI color graphics, Y
modem  batch transfers, smart "batch" script files, etc.  If you get the idea
that I  like this one, you are right.  Oh, the REU too is used to call
routines, and   as one huge buffer.  (Chris describes this as a bare bones
Term......)  Also,  using the REU, this time as a RAM disk drive is
Commodore's VT100-128, ver 2.0. Just run RAMdisk first to set it up, and vt100-
128 looks to it as just another drive, but a fast one....  And, doesn't the
old Sixth Sense 128 also use the   REU?  There does seem to be stuff that will
let you, up/down load, and         buffer using it.  BTW....Someone is working
on having two #1750's running      concurrently, and something on this should
be available soon.  I probably will be needing a second #1750.  :)   Howie

I believe the Y-modem batch used by Chris Smeets' TERM is not the same
implementation as GEnie's, and it doesn't work. What he calls 'Y-modem' is the
same as GEnie's Xmodem 1k (and it works wonderfully). I also like using that
term because it has an option to un-archive ARC files AS THEY ARE DOWNLOADED.
There is a very small loss of  speed, but at 1200 baud it's negligible.

 R.Smith,   I  may have found something for you in my bbs wanderings.  If I
 read  the  post  correctly,  Color 64 bbs has a Term within it, which will
 give you REU access. Now, I know your original request was for a Term from
 Genie,  but  since no one has yet come up with any, commercial or PD, that
 uses the REU, you may find this a satisfactory interim solution.          

 Here's  the  post  that  I  am  referring  to.   I  quess  if you have any
 questions,  you  can contact the writer direct in the Commodore section on
 the  Net-Exchange, PCP's bbs. From what is posted, is seems Color 64 makes
 for a nice Term too:

 Ok, here goes as to what i am using. I run a small Color 64 BBS in        
 Huntington Beach, Calif. I have a 128 and a 64c and have used PC P with   
 my term within the bbs prg and also CCGMS 5.5, but mainly the bbs term    
 within the prg as its easier and allows me all the plus' like             
 downloading or uploading to the 1750 ram and geting to any of my IEEE     
 drives which most Commodore terms don't allow. I now have a Supra 2400    
 with an Omnitronics Deluxe rs232 interface but till i got that I had my   
 trusty old 1670 for over 3 years. Now I have only been using PC P for a   
 short time (4 months), and only call out using 3 access #s 1200 in        
 Garden Grove, 1200 in Santa Ana and 2400 in Santa Ana. I have called      
 other Color 64 boards and some Cnet systems in most every city PC P       
 allows and have *NEVER* had an error problem that caused a problem with   
 an upload or a download. I am totally happy with it for my uses and       
 plan on keeping it for the time being. I don't claim to be an expert or   
 know all the answers, but I for one like my Color 64 software for its     
 flexibility with all kinds oh hardware and the fantastic support you      
 get from the author and his support boards all over the country. I have   
 taken up a new hobby since getting PC P and that is collecting "mods"     
 for the bbs that are found all over the usa. It's like collecting         
 stamps. Where else do you get a (1) block file with a (2) page doc file   
 for it?

And coincidentally, the author of COLOR64BBS is right here in our little
FlagShip! His name is Greg Pfountz, he is a SysOp here, and his GEmail address
is COLOR64BBS (naturally!) ... Greg, any  clarification? Will the Term program
run without having the whole BBS package?

Yes, Color 64's built in terminal makes good use of the 1764 ram modules, just
like it does from within the BBS - and no, there is no way to pull out just
the terminal program into a standalone product - much of the  code used by the
built in terminal is also the same code used by the BBS itself.  I am
surprised that nobody has found a C64 terminal that does allow you using the
1764 as a ram disk - it really does speed up file xfers - and when calling LD
or a network like this, time is money!!

  I think someone mentioned, at a club meeting, that Runterm on RUN's new
productivity disk would support the ram expanders.  Anyone able to confirm
this?

   Yes, the latest version of RunTerm which is on the RUN WORKS disk supports
a 1700 or 1750 REU on the C128, or a 1764 on the C64 version.  The way iit
works is to allow you to capture text into the REU as an extended capture
buffer.  You cannot use it for downloading to as a ramdisk. Once the text is
captured, you can save it (in 64K chunks) to disk as seq files, which can be
printed or edited by any seq word processor.
